We are a group of friends who have come together because we share the common bond of caring for someone who has Trisomy 21. We are here to share therapy tips, medical issues, laughs, accomplishments and yes, even frustrations. We embrace what Trisomy 21 has brought into our lives. We feel that it has taught us to appreciate the true meaning of life. We count our children as blessings! We will fiercely protect them and fight for their lives to be valued just as all other peoples' are. We share our pictures, our stories and our hearts here not only to provide friendship and support for each other, but also in the hopes that others will open their minds and their hearts to our unique children and, in turn, make a better world for everyone.



OUR FINDING OUT STORIES

This is a special feature that is ongoing in our community.  Please check in from time to time to see the new stories that have been added.

Community Members are asked to create a post called "My Story" at any time.  In the post please include your story related to finding out your child has Trisomy 21 and/or post a link to a message you posted at that time.  If you need help finding links from the Parents Place board, e-mail Kei. Feel free to add anything else you would like to add to your story as well.

Once your story has been posted, please e-mail Katrina with a link to your post.  Please include "MY STORY" in the title line of your e-mail.  This way the link will be added to both this page and the Community Who's Who page.

Please note... if you are willing to be a contact person for parents who have just found out their child's diagnosis, please state in your e-mail that you are willing to and when I add your story I will put an e-mail link behind it.
