The following list of links are links to various message boards that deal directly with trisomy 21 adoption issues.  Some groups are more active then others but many are listed here so that you can take a look at what is out there and find the one that is the best fit for you.  We would love to have a longer list so if you know of any, please submit them.

Riverbend Down Syndrome Parents Support Group Adoption Page:  A list of adoption agencies in the United States specializing in either adoption of children with Trisomy 21 or children who have special needs.

Adoption Resource Center - Waiting Children Page:  Currently listing three older (age 8-12 years old) girls who have Trisomy 21 who are available for adoption.  Note that these adoptions would be International adoptions.

The Center for Bio-ethical Reform Adoption Facts Page:  The Center for Bio-ethical Reform (CBR) is an organization that speaks out against the injustice of abortion of both children with disabilities and those without.  This specific page is a page notes the need to recognize that adoption is a very viable option over abortion if parents feel they cannot parent their child.  Note that some of the visuals on this site are pretty harsh as CBR believes that showing the "true pictures" of abortion will help people to understand it better.  Be prepared if you go looking beyond this one page on the site!

Adoption STAR (Support, Training, Advocacy & Resources) is a New York State Authorized Non-Profit Child Placing Adoption Agency.  The agency has a passion for identifying homes for infants who are at risk for entering the foster care system.  Click on the logo above to find out more!
